Chateau Blanc is one of the newest french fine dining in town, located around south jakarta, senopati makes the restaurant more exclusive compared from their competitors, yes, one and the only fine dining in that area. Chateau Blanc is getting boost from getting titled Best Restaurant Jakarta 2014. Last Visits we ordered the Christmas degustation menu, which are consist of 5 course dishes. The food overall was okay, but it was not 100% perfect execution, one thing that makes them not perfect was when they put the black angus tenderloin too fast, which makes the juice does not completely in the meat, otherwise from the appetizer to desserts , they made the theater of food completely immaculate, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. The service was so immaculate, the waiter explained all the dishes before we eat them, its a must , though, they didnt miss it. The ambience is gonna makes you blown away, perfect for dating , having an anniversary or just a regular visits. Overall for the reviews, i choose the taste over the place, so for me, the food overall it was good, but it was not the best french fine dining ive visit, but for anybody who wants a full romantic dining experience, this might be the right place for you.

Exclusive French fine dining in an exquisitely designed house in Senopati. 5 star cuisine and preparation as well as service. Great venue for special dates. Chateau Blanc brings a new level of French Cuisine to Jakarta. Starting with the venue – the restaurant is housed in a restyled house in up-market Senopati. The house itself retains its original layout with a kitchen and a living room. Dining areas are spread out providing intimacy and privacy for a great romantic setting. In total there are only 13 tables in the restaurant making this truly a more exclusive venue. Leading the kitchen is Chef Renaud Le Rasle of Mosaic Bali fame. He brings rich, flavorsome traditional French to the menu here. There is a very tempting degustation menu of 6 courses however my review of that will have to wait for a return visit. Instead we sampled the Pan Seared Foie Gras, Crab Salad, Rack of Lamb, Pork Belly and two chocolate desserts. The Foie Gras was presented as “The Best Foie Gras” in Jakarta. They were certainly not trying to manage expectations! Even so I was impressed – the dish was cooked to perfection with a beautiful melt in your mouth experience. Both the Rack of Lamb and the Pork Belly are also worth a mention. The lamb was so flavoursome and tender – I can’t really remember any quite like it. The Pork Belly – while it looked dry from the outside hid a well-balanced juiciness of fat under the slightly caramelized crackling skin. Unfortunately the veal was not available due to problems with imports and there were insufficient numbers of us to tackle the beef for 2-4 persons – but this will surely be worth a return visit! Overall this is a very impressive restaurant. It is certainly one of the more expensive meals to be had in Jakarta but good value compared to international prices.
